How not to melt into cash on the forms - Luke Wroblewski on MIX'09

lukew-wroblewski-mix09 Participants in this year's conference MIX 2009 had the chance to watch the live presentation Wrobleski'ego Luke, who in a few words shared his extensive knowledge of design forms. For those who have not heard yet about the Arc (or have a vague idea about it) I put here a link to his page (lukew.com) - I encourage you to familiarize yourself with his work.

In short, this is already a kind of icon when it comes to constructing correct and useful forms, whose job it is (note the people business - it rains here the magic word) CONVERSION.

For is it not the case throughout this ambarasie? The task of the form is to collect the best data quality and maintain the desired level of conversion - nothing more nothing less. A means to achieve this effect is just a tool, they have designers like Luke Wroblewski. It is the KNOWLEDGE and PRACTICE.

Every day wasted is potential for a large number of energy expended by the customer to fill in badly constructed and operating in the forms incorrectly. Unfortunately for the business - these people are, unfortunately, for this reason in the group of potential customers.

A perfect example of this situation is a lot of e-commerce services. What an irony - it seems so much money on service and all the technological facilities, logistics, partnerships, support, and many other areas that are a financial bottomless pit so that at a crucial point - in the form of purchase to reduce the workload to a minimum and give the body, known as the proverb says. Then the nice people business - you can just laugh sarcastically through tears.

I do not want to encourage you to spend that hour on the watch of Luke, because he is known, liked and is generally a good presence. Instead, I will say this: do you want to begin to reduce the risk of fusion cash, get some answers and no magic slang that no one understands? You want to make money and do not botch the case in the most crucial point of the project? This is not szczędźcie money on consulting with people like Luke and hear what they have to say. For something like that you can only earn. Oh - and watch the presentations, because it is worth. It is worth if you do not want to be those who are wise - but after the fact.

Why should I delete it every time I want to leave a comment? Do read this blog so kumaci people that do not know what is entered in this space to give them proper instructions?

At your special request link: http://videos.visitmix.com/MIX09/C17F :]

I do not think that you so often commented on the entries here, so that it could interfere with your right? :) But the good feedback. The inscription should disappear after clicking on the box and will try to complete it soon.

As for the underlying basis for placing the instruction: "enter your comment here." Not everyone is passionate bloggers. Second is just like the zebra in the tables: there is no research to indicate clearly that it helps, but the one everyone is sure - no worse, and can only improve readability. Just this statement - not worse, but in some cases may serve as a handy guide. Not miewałeś / eclipse never reported? ;)

I agree with A, this blog is about usability, and this form clearly does not comply with these rules.
If you already be a hint that it may disappear after the first click. Because otherwise I have to delete it.
Besides, should nevertheless be adopted some level of intelligence, in the end of this blog does not reach the people who sit on pomponiku

I removed the troublesome hint. Thank you for your valuable comments:)
