The first UX Book Club in Wroclaw for us!

ux-book-club-wroclaw-01 June 26, 2006 took place in Wrocław first UX Book Club. Therefore fitting to summarize it in a few sentences. At the meeting we discussed a book by S. Krug, "Do not make me think. A functional approach to life's web. " Of course, discussion is not limited only to the contents of the book and the book itself was sometimes punt starting to talk a little different from the issues raised in it;)

Interesting findings occurred to during the discussion on page elements, which every day writers sites place on the pages (or not) and not necessarily ask themselves whether it is in any case reflect on the meaning of the proposed solution. Such elements include breadcrubs (a popular path crumbs), elements of the main navigation (link to home page), tagline, or bookmarks.

In the book itself were also a few inaccuracies or deny that the author has placed. Not escaped the watchful mind, of course participants.

In addition to food for the spirit, there were also food for the body. Heat a small pizza and refreshments pokrzepiły participants for further discussion:)

The meeting took place in the hall of Wroclaw University of Technology teaching and here I wish to thank the great bow and toward Dmitri Żatuchina and the University, who was the patron of this meeting. Thanks to them we had the comfortable and cozy place for discussion.

We agreed that it should be held another meeting UX Book Club in Wroclaw, which of course makes me very happy and now I invite you warmly to participate in it.

She was also selected the book for the next meeting. I hope that will give us even more examples, which we will raise and discuss together. This will include: L. Wroblewski, WEB DESIGN FORM Filling in the Blanks . I hope that zjawicie again or for the first time. The meeting will probably take place in early August.

And now a few more pictures from the meeting:
